A Flight Board with a Story
The BierSchmiede Classic Flight Board combines modern precision with a family connection to traditional craftsmanship. Its name and design were inspired by my great-great-grandfather, known as Grandpa Coffee, who worked as a blacksmith.
Each board is precision CNC-machined from solid hardwood and finished by hand in my Northern California shop. The comfortable handles, stable base, and substantial feel make it equally suited to home tastings and professional service.
The Board
Choose from white oak, ash, beech, or maple. Because every board is made from natural hardwood, the grain and color will vary slightly, making each one unique.
Size and Glass Fit

- Glass wells: 2″ in diameter
- Approximate weight: 1.3 pounds
- Designed for four 5-ounce tasting glasses with bases up to approximately 1⅞″ in diameter
- Compatible with many tulip and miniature pub-style tasting glasses
